2008 Green Hop Beer Festival PDF Print
All being well, this will run Fri 10th, Sat 11th and Sun 12th October.

The Talbot is also running a series of mini beer festivals - see www.the-talbot.co.uk for more details. These include Golden Ales for the weekend of 8th February, St Georges ales in April and Midlands milds in May.

Brewer Chris gooch has been awarded The General Certificate in Brewing by The Institute of Brewing and Distillimg. This followed a 9 month correspondence course supplied through SIBA - the small brewers association (www.siba.co.uk).

With ten years experience of brewing, this should be a straightforward exam but two floods and a very busy year ate into time available for homework.  The certificate allows Chris to become a member of The Institute and to begin work on The Diploma in brewing. Later.

Despite the impertinent River Teme flowing in through one door of the brewery and out of the other, we are now back up and running and the beer festival will go ahead.

It will begin at 6pm Friday 12th October and then at 11am Saturday 13th and 11am Sunday 14th until 6pm.

The Teme Valley Market will run from 11am until 1.30pm on Sunday but we will not run any brewery tours this year.

We will feature our single hop varietal green hop beers, some of our seasonal beers from earlier in the year, local green hop beers, local favourites and a couple of foriegn cask conditioned beers.

Don't forget the First Midland Red route 420 runs past the hotel.

See you there.
